Great song, though the English major in me has a hard time overlooking the error of how the "BEST woman wins". Best applies when comparing three or more items ("the best of all the candidates"); when discussing only two items, it would be better, so grammatically the song should be "May the BETTER woman win". However, Dolly gets a pass because (a) "better" has too many syllables and would screw up the rhythm of the song, and (b), well, because she's Dolly.

They don't very much alike. Dolly has a higher, sweeter sound with a lot of vibrato, while Lorrie's got a somewhat deeper, richer sound. Lorrie actually sounds more like Loretta Lynn than Dolly. The one who sounds a LOT like Dolly is Alison Krauss.
