A flower show and art exhibition:
"The Art of Japanese Chrysantemum" and
"Moore in America"

The chrysanthemum, known as kiku, is perhaps the most revered of the fall-flowering plants in Japan. The New York Botanical Garden learned the time-honored growing techniques and display styles to become the first garden outside of Japan to showcase the art of kiku in the Imperial style.

About Henry Moore

Henry Spencer Moore (July 30, 1898August 31, 1986), born in the coal-mining town of Castleford, Yorkshire, in England, is one of the worlds most known and beloved 20th-century sculptors.
Moores abstract works are displayed around the world. His subject matter is often a reclining woman, a mother and child, or a relationship in nature. His sculpture makes reference to the landscape and flowing hills of the countryside.
