  • They put her grave in a museum???

I mean i know she's the queen but you'd think..ohhh idk they'd put her somewhere private. But thanke you very much for sharing,And that grave is definitly fit for a queen

  • @PrinceChris93 Westminster Abbey is no museum!

  • Are you allowed to film or photograph inside the Abbey?

  • @catsinhouse No you aren't. You can hear a man who works there saying 'no cameras' right near the end of the video. Needless to say as soon as I went away from that area I started filming again!

  • @catsinhouse No you are not and it is disrespectful to do so. There are also security reasons for not filming in historical buildings. I smiled in satisfaction when an official removed a video recorder from a tourist in a Scottish castle a couple of years ago and deleted the film. I wish that people would simply respect the rules. You will always get numpties that think that the rules don;t apply to them. It is regarded as theft to film unlawfully.

  • @hamefurgid I have nothing but respect for Westminster and those buried there, I think my main reason for filming was to capture the feeling I had when I first walked into that room. Sometimes on very special occasions like these, I cannot really recall the memory that well...I guess it's a little overwhelming or I hurry to take in every single detail that I just can't remember it so well. Who knows! So for me, it's nice to have this video so I can go back to it and kind of relive the moment.

  • @scarletgunn why cameras are deemed disrespectful but persons yelling on their phones and children screaming deemed alright?

  • @06moca1 I think so too!

  • Maybe they don't want any camera's because they want to make moeny and want people to come and see for themselves.

  • I don't understand the rule? In this case. I've seen the abbey many a time on historical programs. I did take video of "Old Glory", at the smithsonian in Washington, DC, and it is strictly forbidden as the light from cameras can damage the fabric and also to prevent outsiders from studying the area for security reasons. I will say in my defense that I in all honesty did not know it was wrong to film the flag,(despite in my film I video the sign as I enter:), I was yelled at and kicked out by a

  • FYI: the abbey is a royal peculiar and therefore under jurisdiction of the monarch. As a visitor you are a guest in QE2's property and are bound by her rules. Dont like the rules ? Outta the door pls.

    Simple

  • Thanks for sneaking the camera in, ifcit was not for you i would never have seen it so up close. Amazing!!

  • @faeryquene

That's the problem with this Godless day and age.We think/believe everything's allowed and "OK" to do and than find reasons to justify our belief. It's disrespectful in spiritual way,out of common sense and respect towards the dead.Is that so hard to grasp and understand? That "NO" actually sometimes for all the right reasons means NO?As for the taxes you pay-blame it on UK government.I would be more worried that those taxes are used to pay off illegal wars abroad.

  • @faeryquene I wonder how those that found your video disrespectful able to live with themselves as they watched your video? "Oh, this video is just terrible! But I am gonna watch it a little longer." :-)

  • @faeryquene Okay-I am mistaken the Abbey is not kept up by taxes. And it's still a silly rule not to allow cameras or video. They'res tons of footage on youtube alone so how would it affect the Abbey's revenue? Ridiculous rule.

  • @hamefurgid I disagree with your view that it is disrespectful. Imo the dead wouldn't care one bit. I'm sure they've all moved on from such pettiness.

  • @kendahke And as to Mary and Elizabeth-all literature I have read on the subject states that Elizabeth was buried on top of Mary. If there is that much room down there I wonder they didn't at least lay them side by side.
