5.7L. Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers (were already on the truck). Custom made 2.5" all stainless exhaust, headers back. All MagnaFlow; 99006H cats (x2), 11226 mufflers (x2), 35143 tips (x2), 15042 driver's side tailpipe, 15043 passenger's side tailpipe. Everything stainless steel. It is designed to come out in 3 sections: after headers to behind cats; behind cats to behind mufflers; then the tailpipes. I will caution you, the MagnaFlow tailpipes had to be modified even though they are for this body style (other than the fact that they were modified to come out the side).

  • thats some snappy throttle response :D

  • @captaincrunch69 Yeah, the truck is definitely very responsive and makes it a blast to drive....especially when you need to step on it to pass someone quickly.

  • Yea Wisconsin!!!

  • @TheRagedPures all custom

  • @snakesonaplane2 yeah i may use cats, possibly Mags or maybe Thunderbolts depending on how long the one lasts on my Sierra will determine if i will use them on the Burban, but the bigger 2.5" piping, headers and big tips should get rid of the popping i hope, must just be the camera and video as it got uploaded

right now i have an 18" Mag spliced in the stock pipes on the Burban, and i can hear it fairly well but it drones bad, don't know why the stock pipes do that, my Sierra doesn't at all

  • @snakesonaplane2 Sounds like a good plan. I forgot the Suburban has the tank in the middle in the back (not down the driver's side like trucks do). I went with cats because they were so cheap and not having them can cost you a $3k fine or something like that. I actually think it sounds really good. If it were raspy, I'd hate it, but it really isn't unless you're living above 4k rpm. GOOD LUCK WITH IT!!!

  • @snakesonaplane2 actually i changed my plans, gonna run those 18" Magnaflows but with no cats, from everyone i talk to with them the Mag cats have that raspy, popping sound so i'll get a tune and not use cats, this is going on my K1500 Suburban so i can run the pipes down each side, don't need to crossover like on the pickups making it a lot easier, or some pickup guys take off the tank and use a fuel cell in the bed to run duals and balance the weight more

  • This is the exact setup I want for my truck, same headers, cat, muffler, tails and everything, except I want 24" long tips straight out the back and 3" single up to the muffler and have a dual out muffler instead of true duals. The Thorley Tri-Y headers come with a y-pipe so when I buy it it'll be easier to make it single to the muffler.
