  • Reason why I became a Yankees fan back in 85'-Donnie Baseball.

Epstein produced Ty Wigginton, Eric Chavez, Eric Munson, and Troy Glaus. Ted Williams never physically taught hitting except through his book, which is how Wade Boggs and Jayson Werth learned.

Email some of the hitting mechanic coaches who claim to use science when teaching the swing for the scientific research papers and top scientists in human kinetics and other relevant fields who/which papers aided them in developing their hitting programs. I think you will be surprised they are going off of a high speed video camera (And I think everyone agrees almost every swing looks similar, and a natural swing looks the same way) and they don't use science.

  • @abfive

When professional hitters are hitting successfully (This also goes to all levels) the players are not thinking about mechanics and changing them significantly. You will notice the players that spend the most time focused on mechanics are generally in the bottom half of the lineup (or the number 2 spot) or are in/often times enter hitting slumps.

You have no factual experimentation or observational statistics backing your claims.

  • @abfive

And of course hitters hit rotationally. They rotate. They also hit linearly. They move forward. But that's beside the point. They don't consciously go step by step through each aspect of the swing adjusting their swing to look like somebody else. Look at Joe Mauer and other great hitters high school footage compared to their MLB footage. The swing are practically identical. So if they were working on mechanics that entire time, it makes no sense. They have a NATURAL MOVEMENT THEY USE.

Nobody currently starting in the major leagues has openly credited Williams to establishing the foundation of the development of their swing. I have emailed Mattingly and Epstein regarding the matter and Mattingly has on several occassions refused to answer me, and Epstein said no. Therefore, I concluded that neither of them have. You can email them yourself if you want to confirm this.

You are making your claims off of assumption, not experimentation. Your the phony.
