Kubrick hunted down every last copy of Fear and Desire and destroyed them, however it seems he wasn't 100% successful in finding ALL the copies!

This film sucks. But it was a learning experience for Kubrick and boy, did he learn.

every director needs to start...ithis movie is good but it would have been better if it better silent

I consider the killing his first real film,and his first masterpiece.With no live sound,this and killer's kiss can't really be considered legit.Because of the dubbing,the acting looks ridiculous.

Amazing to see this here...and a little depressing since Kubrick wouldn't want it here to subvert his name and rep. But I must say I smiled when his name appeared as director and the music went all fanfare. When you get to 2001, it's the same thing, Kubrick's name gets the high point in the music. What a dude he was! :)

I have this print, but also one from another source that is far worse quality. It runs for 72 minutes, the length of the actual movie.

What's missing here? The web seems to indicate the film is 72 minutes long, but the sum of these eight parts adds up to about 61 minutes.

Nothing is missing, but after the end of the movie there are about 10 minutes of black screen ... I simply cut.
