after 15 years being stood outside i striped it down and restored it. its had a full engine rebuild consisting of new crank,crank seals and bareings,new conrod inc top end and big end bareings, new piston,rings,condenser,points,spark plug and cap alsop full new gaskets. the frame was resprayed gloss black chrome re polished, engine resprayed, and tank and side pannels resprayed after being striped right down to the bone.

  • Great job. Not too sure about the colours, but still. I started doing my old GP, but stopped again. This video might just start me working on it again.

  • @ossieend ...hiya thanks for you comet glad your inspired to get your gp sorted. as for the colours i chose them to make it unique also because yellow is a nice 70s colour with the gp being a 1979 quite allot of 70s bikes were yellow and were very popular. i also have a 1978 gp125 in bits with a nackerd engine to do next but thats a very hard restoration. also i have a spare tank n side pannels in black if i want to swap n change the colour scheme if i get bored ha.

  • Which of the four wires is connected to the coil? Im restoring one at the moment but the wiring loom is damaged and some of it is missing?. Thanks. Nice job.
