Hello. Jo,you have nice radio shack ...I like very much the IC-7700 (I use FT-1000 & FT-2000)

The only think you nide now is - better antenna.

The HyGain TH3 is OK for some FD but for serious work (I see the radio's are made for serious play) you nide some better antenna - monobanders ore if you noth have space try with some FORCE C3 ore OptiBeam.

Sorry JO this is only my advice - NO HARD FEELING'S.

The antenna is fine for now, worked over 200 countries and also the space is a big problem... By the way it is the MK-4 from hy-gain. I'am looking for a Stepirr but this antenna is just to big for the moment!!

The Icom IC-7700 has the very best Noise Blanker (NB) that Money can buy. I would only prefer an Icom IC-781 or maybe even a IC-765. I wonder which of these Transceiver has the best weak SSB Signal reading Capability (except with NB).

Hi Joe, James G0SEC here, i have just brought icom 7700 with PR781, I pick it up soon, cant wait.. you inspired me alot and many thanks for your videos as i watch these all the time while i was drooling over the 7700, I now have one..Phew.. lol
