Part Four of an instructional video series describing the functions of Scalextric's new Advanced Digital 6 Car Powerbace (C7042).

Part Four describes how to set up and use the powerbase's Yellow Flag feature, which a group might use when a racer crashes, just like in real racing. This video also details the options in the Start End category, such as how the cars behave before and after a race, and how to prevent a pace car from entering the pit lane.

  • That's good, that will make it alot easier every time I want to have a race.

Just wondering, are you currently in the process of doing any more instructional videos on the power base at all?

Also, will you be doing a step by step instructional video on how to apply a Digital Plug to a DPR car?

  • @AussieDragonXP1 I am planning some other videos, but I was not planning one for the DPR system. Although I don't doubt that blindness can make that tricky, there's really no way to do it wrong.

  • I do have one question though.

If the power base has been turned off for any period of time, for example, days or even weeks at a time.

Will the power base remember all your previous settings the next time you turn it on?

  • @AussieDragonXP1 I haven't done an exhaustive check, but yes, every setting that I've paid attention to has been saved. I used this recently for a party where I set everything up at home, and at the party all I did was put the track together and press Start, and everything was as I had set it to be the day before.

  • I'd like to say that these instructional videos you are doing are absolutely fantastic.

I am actually completely blind and have only just got into Scalextric a couple of years ago.

I have been thinking about upgrading to Digital, I am just waiting for my local store to get some more of these digital power bases in stock.

Your instructions and descriptions are so clear that even though I can't see, I can follow what you are doing and what your talking about very well.
