Desert Symphony A musical interlude, featuring traditional musical
instruments of the Manganiars. The instruments include Kamaayacha,
Dholak, Khartaal, Morchang, Dhol, Matakaa, Sataara, Sindhi Sarangi, Surinda, Alagoza, Bhapang, Murali, Tandura, Jaltaal, and Harmonium. All the musical instruments are tuned to a single scale and played together. Some of the
compositions played are very complicated and rare, set to time cycles of
7,14,10,6,12,16,and 18 beats, while others are traditional and popular melodies. The musicians play Jugalbandis or dialogues between various
