Great work, must remember to post a clip of me wiping my hairy arse with my RACGP fellowship certificate after receiving the vastly superior FACRRM award...,

Top work Lex.
Top work ACCRM.
It makes me proud to be a doctor... and I'm not that kind of doctor!!!
Seriously, it's beautiful. It is revelatory and rare in its representation life in the country as an ADVANTAGE of being a country medico. I liked it very much.
(And I am posting you a song of my own. I hope you don't mind.)

Great motivator for bush doctors.

Perhaps there is too much emphasis on procedural practice and physical exam - it would have been good to have at least one image of a standard consultation showing a GP listening to a patient (with computer on desk!).
There are no images of GPs being woken from sleep and driving in to the hospital at night when it's raining.

Well done - looks good, sounds good. Well produced - the 'fade in - fade out' images work well.
The video presents a positive spin on rural life and rural practice - the days are bright and relaxed, there's a beautiful sunset, a deserted beach, and everyone smiles. The RFDS plane taking off at the end of the video is a good metaphor for freedom and purpose in rural life and work.

Good work from your dad Ashmore - it is cool
-
cool - my dad made this video
A couple of the images overplay the stereotypes - the ute-driving doctor with the stethoscope around his neck, waving to people in the street; the singer relaxing on the hammock on the verandah.
...not sure about the harmonica.
The song would be a winner at Tamworth.
We'll know it has been a success when it gets spoofed on The Chaser.
Well, I liked it, and I look forward to the next one.
Who are the singer, guitarist, and harmonica player? Rural medical generalists?
