Can You Describe Eugene? MyEugene.Org

I made this video almost two months ago. I meant to upload it back then, but I managed to forget to do it until now.

At the request of Jaculynn Peterson of http://MyEugene.org I roamed around Eugene, Oregon, and asked them to describe the city they find themselves in. I got responses from people who have lived here all their lives, and responses from people who had been here as little as a week.

There are a few things I find myself frustrated with when it comes to this video, The music and the audio don't exactly synch well... and I feel like the way I cut the things Nichelle said make the point she was making confusing. (She is the girl standing behind the Rosa Parks statue)

Oh, maybe it was shots of the same few people, but I just noticed a lot of cigarettes/smoking? Maybe it was my imagination, or it stood out ironically against the "Eugene is Green/Environmental/etc" statements. lol

Yeah, there are only two of them that are smoking.

Oh, I'm in no way offended. Locally, Eugene is known for a lot Marijuana, and there MIGHT be a lot of smokers, I just wouldn't know.

They call us HippieTown.

And when you think about it, Hippies are know for both their green thumbs and their joints.

i left eugene on 12.18.1999 and i live in germany now...i must admit it's hard not to cry seeing all thiese vidios on how my home town, where i lived and loved, just collapsing. it breaks my heart! i love eugen! i wish everyday that i could be home!
