@cc6482 What are you talking about? There were rappers then too. As far as "screamers" are concerned, that's not new either. There's great music now if you want to find it. I think it's much more fun to repeat the same cliches about "today's music" that have been around as long as music itself. Same phrase. Different generations.

Always amazed to see the "If I have to stand alone" cover… a piece of work I collaborated on with Kenny Laurenson in the early 90s. It was produced using TypeAlign and Adobe Illustrator 88 on a Mac SE. Cutting-edge at the time, but ancient by today's standards. Delighted to see that Lonnie's music is still around and being enjoyed by people worldwide.

grew up with this yes. was always a fave. this is s/a/w in more of a u.s. soulful house.twist, yet their classic melodical timeless style. wonder what song inspired them in this production; my impression is that mostly, they took the best of all kinds of music and made it new and "theirs".
