This is our backyard ski tow rope. Its an old garden tractor thats up on blocks and the back wheel is the drive unit. We have a metal frame we welded up and 2 pulleys on the side of it guiding the ski tow rope over the back wheel. The other back wheel has a 2x4 connected to it to keep it from spinning. We used the pulleys off the mower deck as the guide pulleys. At the other end, we have another pully. We used 600 feet of 3 strand rope and braided the ends together to make the exact length necessary. We run the tractor in 4th to 6th gear at idle and it pulls 2 people up fine.

  • @charger31711 We made like a teepee thing out of 3 logs we found, and we hung a pulley in the middle, which held the rope up off the ground. Glad to help!

  • what kind of rope are you using? poly? and is it 1/2 inch?
