Here we have a compilation of approximately an hour and a half of trains between Mount Vernon West Station and Nereid Avenue overpass above Woodlawn Junction. We start in the station house of Mount Vernon West Station, which is located under the tracks, as we hear Metro North Train 2570, a deadhead to Grand Central Terminal. 2570 sounds like it has M7's. From there, we remain above ground for the remainder of the day. Here are the trains seen, in order:
In Mount Vernon:
1. MN 949, express to Wassaic, with Genesis P32ACDM 221 and 6 Shoreline coaches, with Shoreline II cab car 6222 bringing up the markers.
Wakefield Station:
1. MN 568, local to Grand Central Terminal with 10 M3's
2. MN 351, local to North White Plains with 10 M3's
3. MN 2572, deadhead to GCT with 10 M3's
4. MN 2574, deadhead to GCT with 7 Shoreline coaches with 6304 being the cab car and Genesis P32ACDM 203 shoving from the rear
5. MN 1542, express to New Haven with 5 cars (M6 triplet and M2 pair)
Woodlawn Junction:
1. MN 1373, local to GCT with 9 cars (3 M2 pairs and an M6 triplet)
2. MN 1848, express to Danbury with Genesis P32ACDM 212 with 6 Shoreline II coaches and cab car 6314 bringing up the markers
3. MN 559, local to NWP with 6 M7's
4. MN 363, zipper express to Crestwood with 10 M3's
5. MN 1260, zipper express to Harrison with 7 cars (2 pairs of M2's and an M4 triplet)
Enjoy all the trains. As a side note, the video of the Bomb train at Wakefield was really zoomed in, just so I could show how close Mount Vernon West Station is from Wakefield (less than a quarter of a mile). If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The videos were all taken on October 13th, 2009.
