  • @styrohomes Yeah, it's called carpet pad.

  • disservice to the planet? How much petroleum was used in all that foam? SIPS is rediculous, look at the wiring/plumbing/air ducts all over the place. How many voc's are in that OSB? Best part of all, you house is WORSE for air quality. When your air exchanger quits 15 years down the road, who will know? The ones slowly being killed by lack of fresh air in their house? You are going to redesign the new wheel, or realize why mechanical fresh air isn't popular. Moving parts fail...fresh air anyone?

  • Al, great job on the house. I like what I see and with current advances in Composite Panel Construction I'm sure Net Zero Buildings can be common place. Insulating the basement floor is a must in colder climates and should not be omitted.
