Ben Folds Myspace Concert - Kate

This is from the Ben Folds MySpace concert on October 24, 2006. The concert was broadcast live on MySpace.

I apologize for my yelling at times. Being in the guitarchestra, I was located right behind the track camera. The floor we were sitting on was shaky, and I'm not steady as it is.

If nothing else, the sound quality ended up being fairly good. Enjoy!

I was lucky enough to be the first person in line, so I was the only one in there besides the tech people and the band when they were rehearsing before the show!

They sent out a message via the e-mail newsletter asking for people who could be in Nashville on October 24. You had to reply and express interest (also had to do this to get tickets - it was a free concert) and each person got to bring a friend.

To be in the guitarchestra, you had to audition once you got there. All the audition was, though, was proving you could tune your guitar by ear and then playing 5 different chords. It was nothing difficult.

hey, just curious...how did he pick the musicians to be in his guitarchestra? seems like a pretty nice gig, getting to watch one of his amazing live concerts and be a part of it too.
