What kills me are the totally polar comments about how she played this. Some say, "All she did was play classic rock riffs -- no originality, etc. Anyone could do this!" and then others say, "She totally shredded the whole time, ruining the integrity of the song!"
Sounds to me like haters gonna' hate, no matter what. Just can't please some people. I for one don't really dig Orianthi's pop stuff, but this absolutely kills and I love it! Rock on!

Maybe she wasn't copying anybody, could be she was just playing guitar. Nobody can play better than Hendrix, but many, men and women, can play just as well, Let's just be glad we still have people that seek those goals. Sounds good to me!

If Hendrix had sounded like this he'd not only still be as iconic, but he would have been further ahead of his time than he already was. She was throwing in Jimi, SRV, Van Halen, and Vai influences. Besides, Jimi was known for his guitar wankage as much as anyone. Just be happy this girl picked up a guitar instead of a boom mic and stupid dance moves.
