This is a fourth-year design project at the University of Waterloo. The students involved are Mark Podbevsek, Mike Purvis, and Levi McCulloch, all graduating April 2010, from the Mechatronics engineering programme.

This project would not have been possible without the generous contributions of Apex Manufacturing, Amber Steel, Selni International, and AMRE Supply. We also wish to thank John at the Student Shop, and John and Rob at the Main Shop for their suggestions and assistance.

  • I'm giving you a thumbs down for not explaining yourself.

  • @PMSolvalou It depends on whether or not you want your walls painted "cheese" (The Dulux catalogue doesn't seem to discriminate) or not. "Chrysanthemum Blossom" suits me fine right now...

  • @pastrychef1985 i never thought about it like that, but you are on to something

  • Great till the spider arms break...

  • Nice extractor. I believe that not tearing itself to bits is a pretty good sign of good design. I sure hope that those actually grading it agree.

  • It'd be good for grating cheese with.

  • How fast is it???

  • Cool video!
