I remember this game as a kid. Couldn't remember the fine details, but I'm glad I found this clip to prove to myself I wasn't making it up in my head. Love the reaction from Cousy too.

What a great video clip. Bird would simply not allow his team to lose!! Check out the top ten game winners by Bird also on "you tube". This guy had a collection of skills unlike anybody in the history of the NBA and loved to win games.

@Transmissionwould I don't know man. I can see what your saying but if you look closely it's hard to see for sure whether Bird's foot is on the line. His toes may have been on the line but he turned his foot at the last second....watch closely. If his foot was over the line he got the call anyway because he was a well respected player. Every NBA Star gets calls, Jordan, Magic, Kareem, Charles and on and on gets calls bended in their favor....especially late in their career like Bird is here.

That clip as a Bullets fan was the very reason why I hated the Boston Celtics. It took years for me to appreciate and respect how great Larry Bird and that Celtic team was. But as a kid, I despised them. He did that to Washington on more than one occasion.

The Washington bench did a little of that same "I dont believe it and Idont care if he's on the other Team" action that the Atlanta Hawks bench did when Larry dropped 60 on them..(LOL)

Man, I missed out on Santos' basketball calls. His Patriots calls will get him in the Football Hall of Fame with the Rozelle Award.
