  • @cegtown agreed, i would add zelezny's 98.48m with the new javelin and sotomayor's 2.45 imo

  • @puljacina That is a good analysis. I agree. This performance and Bubka's record (and with respect to Rudisha's new WR) have to be the toughest marks on the books to date.

  • @cegtown yep, angelo taylors PB's are 47.25/44.05 so young had easily the potential to go sub 44 if he wanted

  • @melglen1 lol I love how they are tall "black" legs

  • does anyone see similarity with young and bolt and rudisha, Tall black long legs long stride , no wonder theyre world record holders, its hard to beat great genetics.

  • @dredandmrbears Colin Jackson as well, a 100m hurdles career that lasted and remained competitive for over a decade and a half.

  • 400m hurdling is in a good place right now, Taylor still going strong and Clement and Jackson also capable of fast times, not to mention Dai Greene who is maybe the fastest-improving track athlete of the last year or so. No idea if any of them will beat this time but if they all make the World final this year it could be one of the best races of the entire championships.

  • @acdc1408 Most top athletes have a limited time at the top, the exceptions are just that exceptions. Carl Lewis, John Walker,Evelyn Ashford, Al Oerter are extraordinary because of their long competitive careers.
