Here are the true facts of Channel-4 media abuse and Deportation of Nick Walsh:

Nick Walsh and two of his camera crew of Channel 4 were deported from Sri Lankan after Sri lankan officials found that Nick Walsh constantly fabricated stories tarnishing the image of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama clarified the situation in an interview.

They carried a footage without any veracity or responsibility or a footage that had not been filmed by them, by their own camera crew to which authorship cannot be claimed by the Channel 4 and try to have this telecasted worldwide.

At that point, we investigated this matter and found that the footage from a third party source could be attributed to the LTTE. Purely to serve the ends of the LTTE propaganda and the allegations that has come without even the victim speaking on camera. The allegations have come from a third party. Now could this be equated to with media and media responsibility?

Now this is the issue that government of Sri Lanka's dispute. If one is having a footage of an incident, or if they are recording an incident, they are entitle to telecast that. that is permitted. But in the event that they are not the ones who are the authors of the footage, or the ones who filmed it nor could they take the responsibility in terms of the veracity and the authencity of the information they have generated, then could be permit third party access in terms of discrediting the Government of Sri Lanka.

It is in that context, We have taken the decision in order to request the camera team to leave Sri Lanka and according to that was complied and you saw that the camera team has not been able to engage in Sri Lanka violating the responsibility associated with free media and bring this type of disrepute to the free media in filming and carrying on stories purely to satisfy the LTTE agenda who are now in trapped in terms of their last stages in holding hostages and creating this may have havoc in No Fire Zone.

-------------------------
Why did they give to a third party to shoot the film?
Why did Channel-4 allow Nick Walsh to give to a third party avoiding authorship of the footage escaping from legal actions?
Why didnt they make the footage by themselves and clarify incident with officials before telecasting worldwide if they were honest and the incidents were true?

    LTTE' s WMD revealed.

Substantial evidence has surfaced from the battlefront that LTTE terrorists are using white phosphorous as a weapon in reprehensible attacks at both advancing security forces and hostages fleeing from the LTTE, the observer said.

What we are witnessing is outrageous and the worst exhibition of treachery against the very people it claimed to 'represent' over the years.
