No alcohol, unfortunately. There were numerous times I wish it did.

but I want to know if the candied tequila has any alcoholic effect...maybe it would have gone down easier if you took shots in between licks?

@NoahInfante Yes, sir! To be exact, the worm is actually the larval form of the moth Hypopta agavis that lives on the agave plant. If you found one in your tequila, it meant the liquor was made from infested crops. Now the worm is synonymous with tequila, regardless if it is good or bad.
