@Nypdcosby Same here. Whenever I hear this tune it's Debi Thomas' performance that I remember -- 24 years later (that's how long it will be in 2 more days that she performed this.) I try to remember Dick Button's words about her, heard on this video, & from this performance in remembering when I hit a rut in my life -- that I have to remember to rise like the Phoenix & go on -- to me those were some of the most memorable words from Mr. Button & thing that makes this performance so memorable!

I agree... Ever time I hear this song, I think of Debbie Thomas. Excellent skater. It is because of Debbie Thomas that I started watching the Olympics. One of the BEST skaters i've seen.

This song suits her. She's the only skater I've ever seen who truly skates to the beat of the music in her performances, and this routine is a prime example of that.

22 years later and I can not hear this song without fondly remembering Debi Thomas. A true athlete. A spectacular performance. Simply amazing.

I still am blown away that this program was improvised. It was well choregraphed. She sure knows how to do it...and do it well :D
