  • Thanks for posting! The bride's outfit is gorgeous - very colorful and festive!

  • @ProudSephardic Yeah that was my point...the ashkenazim were in galut and there's been a lot of drift as far as what is considered proper modesty.. In our kenesset, it's preferred that women not have any ornamentation or bright colors, etc...anything that might draw attention to themselves. Great video!

  • @Hatorah Ahh -- you are Messianic. Praise Yah! And thank you for your blessing. We have been blessed with a happy marriage and five adorable boys . . . all in six years!

  • PS: Do you celebrate for many days as some do in Egypt?

Also...I love the background music. I come to watch this often. :-) BEAUTIFUL people and beautiful celebration.

  • @Hatorah There are many different Jewish traditions around the world. This couple seems to be Sephardic. The "mud" is part of the henna celebration, which is done to wish prosperity, fertility, and joy on the couple. The dress and traditions very region to region. We had a very mixed wedding, since I hail from a traditional southern American family, and my husband is from Israel. His family is mixed, half Ashkenazic and half Sephardic, so we had a little something for everyone.
