Here is a very fast No Miss (No Damage) clear run of Time Crisis 1 / タイムクライシス, on the Playstation 1 version. This is my original Time Crisis 1 run, from 2007, please enjoy!

Time Crisis is an arcade Light Gun game which has hugely popular in 1996 when it was released. Its popularity has also brought many sequals too.

The game introduced the action pedal, which when pressed, made it so you can shoot enemies, and when released, made you dodge bullets and reload.

There is no scoring system, it is just all based around completion time, though there is a skill point system.

There is a time attack mode, where you can play any one stage, and have infinite lives too, which is helpful for practicing.

There is a port of Time Crisis on the PS1, however the graphics are not as good as the arcade release, and the timing is inaccurate too, so you can't compare scores between the two versions.
Also the PS1 port runs at 30 frames per second.

Yes, I know I didn't shoot the forklift truck on Area 1, you don't have to comment saying this!

I've never played this game, but I've played the other Time Crisis's. Can anyone explain to me what the "2 sec." means? Also, I can see this is different from the other games, right?

They are time bonuses, since if you run out of time once, the game is over.

This was the first shooting game I ever played, had the gun as well, modern games never seem as good. Best Game ever along with Ridge Racer and Rayman. I played the PS1 for hours, my xbox 360 gets dusty, these days games are too realistic, there is something good about crap graphics.

ACTION! Was always gutted that the PS1 gun didn't have recoil, or at least the one sold in Europe didn't.

I don't think its the realism that is a turn off in modern games, I think its the lack of plot or lack luster story telling and making games assuming the players are moronic teenagers. - shoot things fast, then some explosions that look "epic", that will sell! Take COD as an example, shoot things, then shoot more things, oh gee you're getting bored? how about ZOMBIES? Still bored? SPACE ZOMBIES! I'm pretty sure cod10 will have lesbian vampires and a gun totting Jesus.
