He had a legitimate point. Your argument is pure emotion. Obviously some people screwed up here. This happens in high school as well. Should we get rid of all public gatherings just to be safe?
There's such a thing as effective hazing and there is such a thing as pointless hazing. Making someone drink more than they can handle is on the less effective side.
You can draw a lot of parallels between fraternities and the military. A lot of fraternities rituals and hazing comes directly from military training and vice versa.
For thinking your so smart, your grammar is atrocious.
Bottom line is: no stable, reputable chapter of any fraternity is going to force people to drink more than they're able to or do anything 'gay' or homo-erotic. Hazing builds a strong fraternal bond, but making someone drink isn't what a fraternity is all about. Making a pledge feel responsible for his pledge brothers as well as himself is a much more effective means.
i dont understand why this is funny to any of you. yes it is personal responsiblity but the other part that you are supposed to take from this video is that you need to help out a friend that is in need, this isnt a joke...so stop laughing at it like it is, im a student at cu boulder and this is an issue that is effecting our community still to this day. please do not take this subject lightly, someone you know could be in need.
Where does personal responsibility come into play for those that are being hazed. Why do people get stupid when they want to join a club. parents need to have the developmental responsibility, to maturate there children before sending them to the collegiate environment.
