Well said. He was a hypocritical piece of shit who publicly denounced Black people in general but behind closed door was banging Black women ("raping" is a more appropriate term, considering the time and place).

Yeah if only we'd had a sick, racist bigot win the presidency in 1948 instead of Harry Truman (one of our country's greatest presidents btw). Then maybe...I can't even joke about it. Trent Lott was a douche and so is this man (for shame, Oregon). Strom Thurmond was a despicable man in 1948 and he was a despicable man when he died. Just because he was 100 doesn't mean he deserves jack, much less "feeling good" about himself.
