Break the Chain is an anti-counterfeiting awareness campaign. Our main message "counterfeiting creates a dangerous chain of events" is one that should be heard. The profits of counterfeiting have been linked to funding organized crime, drug trafficking and terrorist activity. Not to mention, counterfeiters do not pay taxes, meaning less money for your city's schools, hospitals, parks and other social programs. Counterfeiters have poor working conditions, and often use forced child labor. Counterfeit items range from designer goods to pharmaceuticals and plane and auto parts. Counterfeiting is illegal and purchasing counterfeit products supports illegal activity. When you purchase a fake or promote the counterfeiting lifestyle, you become part of the chain of counterfeiting and your money directly supports these things you would never want to support. HELP BREAK THE CHAIN BY NOT BEING A PART OF IT. ~information provided by International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition, www.iacc.org

I feel your pain, I've lost a bag before, too (in middle school in the gym) and it does happen. But what I don't understand is how do you lose/leave a Coach bag?? They cost too much to just lose. You just don't "lose" bags like that. Its messed up what happened, but just learn from it, and keep your bag in front of you or on your arm when in public next time. That's what I do.

How much did Coach spend on this? Was the spokes-student paid?

The beginning of it seemed ditzy with "oh, I lost my bag but let me pay $500 for it". But the stuff at the end is a valid concern if a person's car fails because the part used was a fake so it wasn't up to quality. It's been in the news lately where stuff from China has had to be recalled because it didn't follow regulations, like children's toys that Fisher-Price made because the lead content in the paint used on them was too high.

reminder to everyone - this campaign is sponsored by Coach. Thank you IACC for organizing an outstandingly retarded event in my school (Hunter College) that made me question the idea of future leadership in this screwed up world. Thank you for helping perpetuate materialistic obsession and for stunting our intellectual growth just a little bit more.
