Is Jesus God?

Is this a fair question? Is Jesus God, or is Jesus Gods son? Which one is it. Is worshiping Jesus a violation of the first commandment? You shall put no God before me. Please try explain this to me in the comments section, please? (This should be good!) While your at it tell me how beating a man and then nailing him to a post till he dies so that you can be forgiven for your bad deeds is not immoral and reprehensible?

@tomatowatcher Yes the Trinity refers to Jesus/Jesus resurrected aka the holy ghost/ and God. God and Jesus according to Christian theology is the same entity.

The christians that worship jesus as god, see the trinity as the same person. so.. no. it isn't in violation. but a more important question, is why do i care what someone worships.

@1324123432 Ok, questions, is the holy ghost the resurrection form of Jesus? I understand that Jesus and God are looked at as the same person, but why does God refer to Jesus as his son and Jesus, God as his father, was there a purpose to this deception at the time of the crucifixion?

@1324123432 To answer your question, I fully agree that if someone wishes to believe in little green men or a personal universal God deity is fine with me and no more of my business than ones sexual preferance. The issues are with the organized religions behind the belief which I have problems with. It is these beliefs I feel tear the world apart with divisiveness, and make us, the human race look like fools. BTW personally I believe little green men are much more likely than Gods!
