Quick Halloween (read the description)

Well firt I want to say that I'm sorry that this video is crap, it was quite a hectic evening and we had trick or treaters late into the evening. The beginning started out with our ghost track motor burning out. Thankfully hubby had bought a additional motor and was able to replace it out for the remainder of the night. The yard was a huge a success and everyone really enjoyed it. We managed to have a lot of people returning, also referrels to just come and see the yard. In addition, a lot of people took photos and videos (Maybe I should track them down).

What I found funny to me is that I made the trick or treaters walk through the yard (its not much of a walk) but there were many kids who had to take deep breaths to convince themselves it was safe, some who refused to even enter the yard and then there were some kicking/screaming as their parents forced them through the yard. There was even one point that I had to scream at a group of teenagers to even enter the yard. But two out of the three (teenager boys) was able to get candy, the other went running out of fear for their life.

When it got dark, I think that is when the fun really started. William would run at people with cape, teeth showing, a group of children ran into their parents car, closed the door and locked the door crying. Jared and his friend Joshua were laying on the group acting like props. They fooled a lot of kids, but the funniest one for me was a group of girls came through our yard. One of the girls (about 14) was just about to get candy when Jared jumped at her, she about dropped her bag, scream bloody murder and ran/jump in one full motion in circles but she couldn't stop screaming. About 2 minutes passed and I was finally able to calm her down. I really wish I had video to share with you guys.

William and I were vampires, our costumes turned out really wonderful .. so next year we will have to be something different. But I'd have to say that I really LOVED Jared's makeup. Took me a little bit of time to create but I found away to make visible bruises and splatter his face with a lot of blood. There are photos in my album for you guys to see.

Well going to sign off so I can meet William, I have some how managed to bruised my feet from last night so the remainder of the day should be fun.

Looks like you put out a lot of work in your yard. Looked good! I do that too but since we moved I didn't do it this year and I'm glad I didn't. We had ZERO trick or treaters!!! I'm glad you had such a good time. sorry I havn't been around lately! I really enjoy your video's and although I don't always post, I do typically watch them.

We didn't get as many as we had hoped for but hoping the turnout will be bigger. I recently found out that there are very few in the area that decorating the yard to that level. This year we are taken it to another and looking forward to it. But I am thinking about advertising. Sorry for the delay

Sounds like y'all had a blast Mel! =) My neighborhood sees less & less trick or treaters every halloween it seems. But there are alot of Fall Festivals, Halloween Carnivals & Haunted Houses in my area! People seem to flock to those instead of goin' from house to house trick or treatin'. I was seeing that as well - what we noticed is that families would go to the fests held at churches then drive through neighborhoods afterwards for trick or treating.

LOLOL Or maybe it should be SOL (Screaming Out Loud) not the other SOL for the girl it took 2 minutes to stop screaming! Gotta Love Ya Jared!!!  I'm so glad I have boys!
