Steve - A friend just sent me this link after two years. I was in the middle of all this mess. You can see my car turned sideways at about 1:11-1:13 into the video. There were cars bouncing off the walls and parts flying everywhere. I rotated to a stop as you see in the video. I could see all these cars coming over the hill. I was ready for something ugly. I remember your car (well a car) passing me on the grass. All I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Great driving by you and the others.

It could have been a lot worse for sure. I'm just glad it was late enough that the grass was dry. There was a lot more grip there than in the oil spill!

It's a 1.6l Spec Miata.  Tons of fun and not too expensive when things go wrong!

DogInBlack - Good eyes! What you may not be able to see before that is the flagger pulling in the debris flag and putting out the black flag as I am approaching. I did not jump out of the throttle until I saw the tire smoke and trail of oil - clearly later than I should have or would have liked! The strange thing was the lack of yellow at the black flag stand. The incident was just out of sight from that stand and radio communication was not happening as fast as we were arriving on the scene.

good save. R.A. is a great track. Technical & fast. I will rate it right there with mid-ohio. I will be there in oct. with my monza for a svrs event. I raced last oct. in my brother's porsche & fell in love with this track. It's definately a driver's track.

Good driving though. What kind of car?
