Part 2 of Blockade Runner's Editor new additions, showing off a brand new tool: Symmetry! This video is the second part of many that will reveal tools and abilities for the editor.

We'd like to thank both Zach Barth for inspiring us with Infiniminer, and Markus "Notch" Persson for creating Minecraft, for without either of which Blockade Runner would not exist!

Blockade Runner is the beginning of a Multiplayer First Person Adventure game that will allow you to play as an individual character and operate destructible, working, crewable 'living' starships.

The game is in development for the PC and uses a custom engine built in XNA

  • So there are fixes coming with the game to run smoother right? I'm sure I'm not the only one that can't afford a better computer. the issue I have with my blockade runner is for one, it crashes sometimes, and two, there's like a half second delay between what I do and when the game does it. It's also quite laggy on mine. if you can get some advanced graphic options that could be turned way down to help that, it would be much appreciated, thanks ZanMgt :)

  • @GeneralMcNeil We have many optimizations planned for future updates that should definitely increase performance.

  • @ZanMgt YEEEESSSS!!!! thank you guys! also, when it comes to ships for the galactic shipyard, will you include possibilities for vehicles that will be used on ground? Tanks for example? I had an idea for a hover tank

  • @GeneralMcNeil Ground based vehicles are planned but are still a long way down the road. (In other words: Yes, eventually)

  • how long till the update?

    I would buy the game if you updates just to know its not dieing already

  • @divisiondelta @snakeeyesx1vp We're working a plan to get an indev version out to purchasers ASAP. A public (free lite, etc) version will be some time afterwards, but it's very important to us to get the editor in the hands of the fans as soon as possible.
