  • It seems like she's meeting with a shrink. She says that she's not sure if she likes to meet with her or not but that she looks forward to it. After that she says that she doesn't like the place but not sure why, the nanto naku.

  • I hate school too, lain x3

  • Ok I need help finding a certain video which contained a song. The video's name was Lain psx version part 1. the song was a remix of barcode brother's song "dooh dooh". i really appreciate an help. Oh yeah some of the songs lyrics were, "you're like an angel, you sleep with a star so you cant understand what goes on in a heart".

  • Ah I see it's the gender speaking difference. I suppose either would work, although I'm partial to "Why is that?".

Her first line sounds a little strange to me. Overall I can't quite tell what Lain dislikes from this scene. Is it: the location, meeting with a psychologist, meeting with Touko specifically, or Touko herself?

  • I see, if doushitekashira is a gentler kind of "why?", then the translation might be softened by changing it to "Why is that?". That also feels a little more like what a professional Psychologist might say.

  • The "I just do" could mean:

    * I don't know why I feel it (like nantonaku), or

    * I know why I feel it, but I don't want to explain myself.

It might be more accurate to say "I don't know", but it would depend on what kind of character Lain is. If her dialog is usually logical and precise, then she would likely say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure". But if she is more like an awkward child that can't explain herself, then "I just do" is more natural.

These are really helpful insights--thank you!

  • Thank you for the correction! It has been included in the translation documents with credits going to your help.

  • Oh now nice it would be if they had good translators (or any translators for that matter) volunteering to help.

  • ....her hands suure look giant in the game
