Hunters already know that the highest time for Deer Vehicle Accidents are in the fall (hunting season) so instead of accepting the fact they being in the woods killing deer is what causing the deer vehilce accidents they instead blame the rut season and their usual "its more common at night when we can't hunt" excuses. I think its time the public learns the truth (which they are now doing slowly but surely)

Why are hunters supplement feeding deer? Watch the video

My blogger with more information I have gathered.

I really believe they like to kill when deer are most active.
Quote I found deer management website

" Speaking of times to hunt - here is a great website that gives sunrise, sunset, moon phases, civil twilight, etc. Sunrise/Sunset,etc.Calendar. (Civil twilight is earliest/latest that there is enough light for you to see well enough to shoot.)"

"However, per an article by Rob Somerville at http://www.conservationbucksociety.com/index.aspx - " These mature bucks have patterned hunters throughout their lives. They know that most hunters hunt from daylight to about 9:00AM, and in the afternoon from around 3:00PM to dark. "

And remember this...

The report also confirms that most wild animal collisions occur during early morning (5am-7am) or after sunset (5pm-11pm). Deer hunting is permitted one half hour before sunrise and one half hour after sunset.

Another important note: Hunters are allowed to be in the forest tracking wounded deer after dark and tracking is most common in bowhunting but in shotgun hunting too. Here is a quote from tracking wounded deer site.

* "When trailing at night use a couple of the Chem Lights that you can get at WalMart for less than a buck. You don't use these as lights to see blood, but they are hung on limbs at the last blood found. That way nobody has to stand on the last blood and everyone can easily see where the last blood found is at"

From another site..

"The worst thing you can do when tracking a deer at night is to head out immediately. Fear will increase adrenaline in the deer and cause it to run longer and faster, and your approaching footsteps will instill that fear. Wait 30-45 minutes before you attempt to find a gunshot or bow-shot deer, then begin your trek in the most logical direction. Just make sure you watch which way the deer ran as it flees the site."

  • this person has never seen a starved to death deer where they are in an over populated area and had to see them die because no food was there for them but if ad that deer to the small population of vehicle killed deer well what to blame factory whisle don't be stupid what about people who in winter get hit on the street because of ice well?

  • "starve to death" like any of you "care" about "starving deer".

  • Hunters are what is keeping the deer herd down if they don't their will be even more accidents so stop crying about it

  • Read back comment about "keeping herd down"

  • Sorry but hunters aren't hunting at night spooking deer onto the roads. Most deer come out to feed in the evening and then cross roads and get killed. You're a fucking ignorant retard if you really think a deer is dumb enough to hide on a highway.

  • Maybe the reason for the % of car accidents due to deer has risen in the past 20 years is because of the amount of woods cut down and roads being paved daily!

  • "a few things first most goverment agencies of this type just "wing it"How do you think they would come to that number. they certainly didn't count the deer."

Those numbers came from your people whether its 68,000 or 69,000 it's their approximate.

  • You "care" is not about "less teeth" on the deer its about wrapping your grubby finger around the bones of antler of the animals you destroyed.

QDM is not just "TX style" its for every wildlife serial killing state and your only goal "raise more deer" is for the killing opportunity and that is how pathetic the hunting people is they care nothing about the lives of the animals it's so DNR can continue to sell tags and rake in blood money and bubbahs serial killing mind can be satisfied.

  • Then you admit they are producing fawns but the question is why would they do that if DVA's are the problem and there is complaint of "deer overpopulation". Is that the reason why DNR's and you reject IC deer birth control?

The "old bruiser buck" lol. You kill them not because of their age you kill them because the older they are the more points on the antler.

  • Oh yes I have been in forest early morning hours and have spook the deer where their tails go up and start running. Deer know the danger season and much more alert at this time of the year because wildlife serial killers made them fearful of human sound unfortunately.

  • Where are the deer coming from? Here is what I found in TX deer management website.

"Managing for proper nutrition in white-tailed deer is important for good body condition, good fawn production and recruitment, and maximum antler growth. Good nutrition can be accomplished by doing three things that involve proper habitat management, supplemental feeding, and the planting of food plots." Deer Managemetn TX

"fawn production and recruitment" can you explain that?

  • You mean to tell me there is no hunters in the woods at night? Like tracking or retrieving deer? This is how the hunters try to deceive the public by saying "we are not allowed to hunt at night" yes you are allow to BE in the forest at night and just yesterday I have been viewing more videos of bubbahs destroying wildlife and found many of them in the dark.

  • I don't know where you live, but during the hunting season in Texas, the most heavily hunted state, its dark around 6:00 p.m., which means there is still a 4.5 hour gap that the accidents are happening. I've rarely see deer run more than a few seconds after I shoot another deer next to them, and never for 4.5 hours.

  • Have you ever seen a deer in the wild. Have you ever spooked one. They dont run all that far. They run 40 -50 yards when just spooked by a hunter they then bed down in a typical situation and hide from the pursuer, but you know im justa hunter so i obviously dont know what im talking about even though i see 50 deer a year in the wild... your such an ignorant asshole
