As I state in the video DONOT use this information for illegal purposes, it is intended to HELP you if you happen to loose your wheel lock key. As with most things that I do with cars this didn't go exactly as planned, in fact there is a significant amount of time between me getting the socket hammered onto the wheel lock and when it actually broke loose, I took a break to work on other things. I also said in the video that they make a special socket for removing wheel locks that makes this a lot easier, do a search for this and you will probably find a set of them. If you can't find one of these sockets then this might be an option for you to try. The best thing is to try not to loose the lock key in the first place but I realize that this may not always be possible so I made this video for you.

  • What about using one of those GatorGrip sockets that fit all kinds of shapes and sizes? Maybe it would work!

  • good info. bad place. thats why ALL my lugs are locks of different makes. have fun thieves! 4x4=too much trouble

  • That is good for old weels lock, new models have special head who brake when you use this method, or the head turn.

  • You cant steal from an Audi, cause it has a ring around the bolt that spins if you use this method ;)

  • @D1350Z A few seconds of banging outside wouldn't get much attention at all. My brother had wheel locks on his Infiniti and they used this exact method to the the locks off. How many times a day to you hear loud noises outside your home, school, or work? Now how many times do you actually go and look at what made that sound?

  • Shuda shocked the lock nut with a big punch before driving the socket up on the locknut....

  • @squirlybmx even if someone attempted to steal rims using this idea it wouldnt work so well as the person would get caught. hammering the socket on would make to much noise

  • "okay now that i put the parking break on!"

DUMB ASS why did you not do that in the first place?! thats ilk DAY ONE of automotive class??

  • Niggers don't care who they steal from.

  • The cheapest thing that I have done to prevent from losing the key is to epoxyglue the key into a short tire iron. I just happen to have a set of the special sockets to remove the locks, too bad my brother didn't know about it as he paid the local garage to remove them after he lost his key in the snow.
