How come I'm not getting any playback sound? The 'channel' button for out doesn't show it's blank but the other shows.

@ItaLyZPlaYa1 Not sure which channel button you are talking about. Do you have powered audio monitors connected directly to the outputs of POD X3 Live?

Hi,
When recording how did you get rid of the feedback and how did you get the pinch harmonic sound to come through your speakers?-How have you connected your speakers?
Thanks

@boony141 Pinch harmonics don't rely on feedback for their sound, so whether you are monitoring through speakers or headphones should not make much of a difference. A distorted guitar tone with good high-end (treble and presence) helps showcase those harmonics. I may have had my speakers kind of loud too, but I can't remember now! :) The speakers were connected directly to the XLR outputs of X3 Live.
Not sure what you mean by "how did you get rid of the feedback." Did you mean hum/buzz?

@line6movies yeah how did you remove the hum/buzz?

@boony141 You probably noticed some hum just before I started playing, and then it went away. That's because just before playing the first note, I rested the side of my right hand on the strings near the bridge, to control string muting/ringing. Once I came into contact with the strings (which are in contact with the tailpiece, which is connected to a ground wire in the guitar), the buzz diminished.

@boony141 By the way, I used to think that when I touched the guitar, I was grounding it, and that's why the hum went away. Actually, the guitar is already grounded (through the guitar cable, through the amp, into the wall AC outlet...) - It's really my body that is humming! And touching the guitar grounds ME! The human body can act as sort of a conductor or antenna, reflecting or radiating other sources of electromagnetic interference in the room (computer monitors, fluorescent lights, etc.).
