When the caterpillar said "someone you one knew and loved" he meant alice. She once knew and loved her self but she lost her self and started to hate her self cause she thought the fire was her fault.The red queen is representing alice not lizzie she thought it was lizzie it is not.

Actually, the Red Queen represents Young Alice, not Lizzie. The game creators even said so.
It is hinted that Alice thought the Red Queen would be Lizzie when she was told the Red Queen is someone she once knew and loved. Further proof is when Alice finally meets with the Red Queen she says, "I was expecting someone else." She thought it would be Lizzie, but it is not.

Wow... I think you have to know some facts about asylums and mental illnesses of the time to get some of that. Leeches and that head screwy thing were both treatments, and the reason that doctor's goal was to make her insane was because this was at a time when society was obsessed with madness - people used to pay for tours of asylums and see all the pretty 'mad girls' like Ophelia from Hamlet.
What an amazing game - and holy fuck Lizzie... Did anyone else think he did what I think he did? ._.

also- just a note: to people that hadn't noticed in the beginning of the game there was an alley with various children playing in it. There was one girl though that was against the wall and said the same poem/rhyme that bumby repeated about the "man in the moon" being the "engineer". Was some foreshadowing that I noticed as was all like "you bastard" when I reheard during the dollmaker scene. Just wondered if anybody else noticed it while playing the game (or when watching this). :)
