@Centhihi for reasons. 2 of which i knw.... these DSLRs even the entry level 1s use lenses with alot less glass then any non professional camcorder does. resulting in a clearer image, this is why sony has made a new interchangable lens camcorder.

2ndly you can now buy entry level DSLRs which shoot 24p film style video, which only professional camcorders can do.
