Teen Missing After Trip to Myrtle Beach

Police are combing Myrtle Beach for a missing 17-year-old girl from New York. The teen remains missing after a weekend trip with friends. (April 30)

myrtle beach is fun sometimes but its the same thing every year....its never anything new there. But ill still be goin there this because well...its the beach lol. but im always armed when im there and its sad you have to be now a days. anyways..i hope the girl gets found ALIVE. i dont know what i would do if i had kids and one became missing. May God be with her!

Myrtle Beach isnt as safe as people think. I lived there for a year and had to get out.Down south its nothing but crack heads and homeless people.Its not like what it use to be.People need to watch their kids more now , use to you could let teens run free down there , not now.

They kidnapped my brother and tried to rape him and kill him! Good thing the cops got down there as quick as possible but I am never living there ever again

@mattlocke06 I do have a daughter and yes, I may be a bit small-town but that is the way I like it. Don't blame you if it really is that bad. Sorry, I thought you meant the entire south. The bigger the place, the more people, and the more you have such as this. This kinda stuff rarely happens where I live. It's a great place to raise a family.

@ashleyssweetdreams I lived in Myrtle for a year, longest year of my life besides Iraq.Wait till you have kids and youll change your oinion.The south end of Myrtle is waht Im talking about.Alot of homeless and drug addicts.Drive around in the off season and you can really see them when I did it really changed my opinion of the place and decided to move.I couldnt see my daughter growing up there.Im as southern as you being fro NC.I love the south as much as you.

"Down south" has nothing to do with it. Because we are respectable, well-mannered people you think the Carolinas aren't like any other states in this country. There are crazy people everywhere, the fact that we too have problems does not mean we have a bad name. The fact that people are surprised there is also problem "down south" proves people think highly of the states below the line because there IS more good than bad.

I've lived in SC my entire life and I can assure you, I have never met a homeless person or a crackhead. The fact is, shit like this happens everywhere.. Not just in SC.

I went to report this person, seems like this person had been posting stupid crap all over youtube. Hopefully they stay away for GOOD.

Still...two years and no news. I know that Brittanee was wrong to run off to Myrtle Beach, but this shouldn't happen to anyone. :(
