  • send this car to the TRASH now!

  • It's under warranty, take it back! My guess is a bad Idle Air Control! Where do you think I work?

  • They're supposed to idle high when they're cold you idiot. Engine operating temp = 180F.

  • My Chevrolet Aveo 2006 has almost 90.000km on it, and the only thing i changed are the tyres. I don't know what you guys do in you're cars.

  • same problem with my friend's aveo, only happens after cold start-up. it was the idle control valve i believe ( it was 3 years ago). Also, I don't know if you a have problems with the brakes? My friend's aveo's brakes wouldn't work sometimes and GM said there is no problem with it. A local shop found a leak in the break booster and a failed master cylinder at 6,000 miles! There was also a horrid noise that it made on the highway...after about a year, he got a lawyer and sued gm and won.

  • Disconnect the memory of the car and connect it Esaly the problem solved realy but you must give the car to Mécanique known this kind of problems ..ok maistro good luck

  • Any luck?

  • release the clutch slower and wait for it to warm up it seems normal to me????

  • try to check the air intake sensor..

  • When the engine is cold, most cars will idle at an increased RPM to warm the catalytic converter. There is usually a fast idle control valve that uses a pellet of thermowax to keep the throttle pulled open when cold. As the engine heats up, the wax melts and releases control of the throttle. The jerking sensation is not normal, but the RPM when cold seems normal to me.
