why didnt you press smooth!!! zomg u go on object onto that 1 option and theres a smooth thing right next to a solid thing, that woulda made it alot better

@iflarted Smooth shading does not make everything better. It does not matter, anyway, because this is old and no longer applies to my skill set. I use a newer version of Blender that I am much more comfortable with.

is there any way of getting RuneScape models into Milkshape 3D so i can make Half-Life1 models of them?

@GothixZa Blender can export to a nice variety of formats. Can you import obj into Milkshape? I don't mess with Milkshape, but obj is pretty standard.

@iiiml0sto1 Make sure you're using Blender 2.54 Beta. That's the latest official release and is extremely easy to use compared to 2.49. In the beta, just hover the mouse over the small plus sign in the top right of a 3d view. You can also press 'N', but anyway, you'll find what you need for background images there. Once you set a background image, go into orthogonal view and set it to front view by pressing '1' on your keyboard's numpad.
