in my opinion yes, i would give the headgear and the cup perfect scores , the price is whats holding me back.

you said the white headgear gets dirty faster, is there any way to clean it cause i really want the white.

i tried replying before but it did not store , so here i go again.... first of thank you for watching! yes the color white gets dirty, we have 1 in white , i usually clean it with a bit of soap on a wet rag then wipe it with dry rag. iam not an expert at cleaning this material but so far it get rid of some dirt and smell. white look great but does get dirty but not to the extent where your like wow, but its not blue,black or red eather lol. hope that helps..

hey thanks for checking out my video review, there will be more reviews in the future. i havent had the optty to test out the rival but i heard some mixed reviews. rival is a great company , howveer i saw the head gear and i dont see how it gives the best nose face protection , the padding is better then everlast in my opnion. if you have the bucks go with winning fg2900. also please visit my site its fairly new and rate some products help out others ... thanks for visting

Stay away from the Rival Headgear. I just had my nose broken last sunday while sparring in the Rival Headgear. It offers virtually zero nose protection, but it does stay put and doesn't slide around which is why I used it. This wasn't a small break, my nose ended up on the other side of my face. I returned the headgear back to title boxing, and told them to forward my comments to Rival.

I've got the Everlast SafeMax headgear that's the same as this. When I take a shot like your describing the facebar takes the brunt of the punch and if fitted properly doesn't even touch my nose. If its a real heavy punch it sometimes hits my mouth but doesn't hurt much due to being spread across the facebar. By the way Winning have just upped the price to $470. Ouch. Everlast cost me less than $100.

if you get punched squarely on the nose with this on, what's the likelihood of breaking your nose? love boxing and sparring but sick of thinking too much about breaking my nose lol

I love sparring but Im not trying to go pro. I have a job in sales and I am lookin to get the best headgear to protect my face since I would get fired if I show up to work with a shiner on several occasions. I want to keep boxing so I think I'll invest in something that helps prevent black eyes and shiners. They are still possible but I have to do everything I can to prevent them.

Dont ask mate it was a lot. $405... £250 in our money, but i bought a few other facesaver head gears and i was just wasting my money. The fiting was crap ended selling them on ebay. so i just saved and bought the winning and it fits perfect best by a mile, i supose you get what you pay for.

Got mine this morning delivered to the uk, and gotta say its quality after buying a few other makes and wasting my money im glad i got this one. I know its gonna last years.
