This is how I did the Recovery/Nand backup/Wipe/Flash on my EVO 4G from Sprint.
This is toastcfh's method from xda-developers.

quick question where do i go to install the drivers for recovery mode. Mine gets suck in that mode and i cannot run the .bat file.

You should be able to do it if you can sync. Make sure you disconnect and reconnect when the video says to. If you still have issues, go to the thread on ppcgeeks and we'll get you straightened out.

The song is Soothsayer by Buckethead. My favorite song by my favorite artist. I was going to use his song "Android of Notre Dame" but it's too short.
