@GioDun if the bulgars were originally turkic, not TURKISIZED, why did they give iranian names to places in macedonia after their arrival to the balkans in the 700s? bulgarian names in macedonia like balshi, korcha, devol, okhrid, prespa, prilep, vardar, shargania (old name of panorama, grevena region) can be translated only via iranian languages and not turkic or any other neighbouring to bulgarian balkan languages; besides IRANIAN, we bulgarians use many THRACIAN (non hellenic) words.

THRACO-MACEDONIAN PAEONIANS) is in Herodotus’ histories, in which he states that the Thracians were the second most numerous people in the world. can you prove the bulgars were so many there was nothing left of the SO NUMEROUS thracians???

@GioDun you said the greeks did not come from asia and i pointed the greeks had come from what is ukraine and asked you where they had been previous what is ukraine? asia. so you were wrong; the etymology is no way stupid. you are stupid for you are short of knowledge. bulgar comes from BALKhar. previous to splitting in the 700s the bulgars lived in old great bulgaria (the area between the black and caspian seas), which is where the russian republic of BALKariya is today.

@toofunkyniki first of all stop these stupid etymology of the words balkh +ar > bull + shit +ar etc. its so annoying. Second so modern day bulgarians are turkisised iranians (persians) - thraco -macedono-paeonian-slavs? plus proto-bulgars? nice tribe mate! The first bulgars where a turkic tribe that was at 70% slavisised aka the language you speak. What is all this nationalism in the balkans... i feel sorry for you.
