Shaheen Jafargholi 12 singing - Semi Final Britain's Got Talent 2009 HQ - 'And I Am Telling You'

The 12-year-old boy who last night stormed into the semi-final of Britains Got Talent has revealed he almost didnt take part in the show.

The singer from Swansea was banned from auditioning for last years show at the age of ten by his mother Karen. But she relented for this series after he had shown his maturity by starring as a young Michael Jackson in the stage musical Thriller Live.

He had needed a second chance after Simon Cowell stopped him halfway through his performance of Amy Winehouses Valerie.
Cowell told him: You got this really wrong. What do you sing apart from that?
After he sang the Michael Jackson song, Cowell told him: This is how one song could change your life. This may be the start of something special for you, young man.

This time he choose a good song to sing and wow the judges and audience. Will he make into the Final?

You see guys Simon want people to win, but he has to chose real talent. I love Simon because if you try out you need to be the top and that's it and that's all! Simon keep picking the real talent, I know cause I wish I could sing and I would be a hit auditions cause I CAN'T CARRY A TUNE IN MY POCKET SO THAT MEANS LEAVE THE VOCAL CORDS ALONE. DO NOT BOTHER THEM IT WILL MAKE SOMEBODY SICK, BUT IT WILL BE A GOOD LAUGH AND THAT'S ALL IT WOULD BE.
