Loma Linda SDA minister Promotes Homosexual Marriage!

BREAKING NEWS!!! "Loma Linda University Religion Professor Julius Nam voices concern on Proposition 8. No on proposition 8." -Notice how he speaks of Christians, Jews, Muslims and Buddhists as "followers of the divine." This is a Roman Catholic ecumenical statement coming straight from the SDA church in Loma Linda! Worse yet, Loma Linda is now promoting Homosexual marriage in America! And still, some claim this church has not become Babylon!? If you think the SDA church is not Babylon.

Our people should stop sympathizing with sin and evil and quit trying to use the religious liberty issue in regard to Sabbath observance in an attempt to excuse so-called "gay rights". With all due respect (and this may sound somewhat harsh, but nonetheless is true), the penalty for homosexuality in Bible times was death by stoning. God does not sympathize with this societal depravity and sickness, and neither should God's professed people.

Also, in regard to our church's stand on morality in society, this is an absolute disgrace to our people and a dishonor to our God. If Ellen White encouraged our people in her day to vote in favor of temperance and prohibition in regard to alcohol, how much more would she, if she were alive today, ask us to vote again in favor of morality and marriage! Homosexuality is an absolutely disgusting and debasing sin which has and will again bring down the judgments of God upon a nation.

Government has not only the right but also the obligation to uphold morality in society. The last 6 commandments are in the realm of government to enforce, which would then include regulation in regard to "father and mother" (the 5th commandment), and also "adultery" and sexual sin (the 7th commandment). Government does not have the right to meddle with the first 4 commandments which is between us and God. Furthermore, Prop. 8 was not governments doing but passed by the people of California.

Yeap I've been seeing many SDA's preaching away from the observance of the bible and to join roms apostasy. I've even seen one pastor named Pastor Dwight Nelson (watch?v=6b-6PS8J528) saying the muslim God is the same God of Israel, while muslims are still killing christians in their Gods name. I since left the SDA Church of sin.

@PastorMcPherson God set up the governments, and as long as they uphold his commandments statutes, and judgments, we should be thankful. Whenever governments go against God's laws, we should raise our voices in protest.

When our own church leaders show that they have no moral compass, we know we are close to a fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. Please sigh and cry for the abominations done in the church.

@earlysda I am saying that I am not sure I am comfortable with the government reaching its fingers into religious affairs. I am asking the question: Where is the line between church and state? Who is the government to tell us what marriage is? Shouldn't that be the prerogative of the Bible and the God of the Bible to define marriage?

@earlysda And even if the the entire US SDA community said it was fine with them... it still would not change the whole church! The majority of SDA's are from very conservative christian backgrounds, so that won't hold water with the rest of the world! It's the only church preaching the truth!

how does this man know whats best for humanity....only God knows whats best for humanity? only God who made man and a woman in the beginning for goodness of humanity knows whats best....this man should not try and take Gods place and sit down and learn how to drive probably on the roads
