Just Another Meaninful Video For Fawn;;

This Last Week ;; Has Deffinfately Had It's Ups And Downs

- Monday & Tuesday - No Rearing Or Taking Off
- Wednesday - Couldnt Ride, Was Sorting A Stable Out For An Injured Horse By Screwing Rubber Matting And Wooden Planks To The Walls
Thursday - Well ;; Came Off Four Times Into Kickboards And There Went My Collar Bone (N) Not Bad But It Aches :( I STILL RIDE BTW! :L ;; I Got So Frustrated And Upset ;; And I Asked Her Why She Was Doing This And Why She Had Done It.. Yet I Know She Cant Answer. I Felt Like Giving Up. I Couldnt Do It On My Own ;; So I Spoke To Nicola Who Found It Amuzing But Decided To Help Me :) I Cannot Thank Her Enough :) She Certainly IS My Inspiration.
- Friday Me And Nick Started Work. We Started Reschooling Her, And She Has Gone Amazingly. We Are Lunging Her For Twenty Minutes ;; By Doing This We Are Getting Her Relaxed, And Going Forward Into A Contact With Out ME On Her. And Then Riding Circles In Trot And Just Going Large In Canter.

We We're Going To Use Side Reins ;; But Decided Against It As Last Time ;; She Reared Up ;; And Fell Over Backwards And Couldnt Get Up Coz Of The Side Reins. So We're Just Using My Reins With A Knot In The End, So Far So Good [yn]

- Saturday Pretty Good ;; Same As Day Before :) But Wouldnt Listen To My Voice Commands o:

Anyway On The Friday Morning As I Went To Get Some Change ;; Lynn Gave Me Three Options.

Sell Fawn As A Hack ;; And Buy Buddie ;; Buddie Is Umcomplicated ;; Amazing He's Competed At David Broomes ;; He Works In An Outline Does Extended Trot And Jumps ;; I Love Him But I Cant Imagine Myself OWNING Him ;; Besides I Know My Mum Wont Let Me Buy A Gelding Because ;; If He Got Injured And Could No Longer Work Under Saddle ;; I Couldnt Breed To Produce A Foal Of My Own.

Use A Technique By Monty Roberts ;; It Works ;; By Riding With A Soft Plaited Rope ;; And Everytime She Reared ;; Smack The Underside Of Her Stomach As The Stomach Is A Vulnerable Area On A Horse And They Will Immediately Drop Down And It Stops Because They Think They Will Get Attacked. This Techinque DOESNT Hurt The Horse Else Monty Roberts Wouldnt Use It And Endorse It.

Completely Reschool Her With Nick's Help.

I Took The Reschooling Option.

It Was A Hard And Heartbreaking Decision Because Of How Well She's Done In Her Jumping And Flat Work ;; But It's For The Best ;; I Have To Do This Coz I Love My Pony With All My Heart;; Everytime I Walk Intoo The Stable Block She Whickers And Watches Me x3 How Could I Let Her Go ? I Couldnt.

Also ;;
I Have To Change The Way I Ride Completely Now For Fawn.
I Now Have To Ride With A Slightly Longer Rein Contact ;; And Use Mainly My Legs And VERY Little Rein To Turn And Use My Seat To Slow Her With Hardly Any Rein Contact.
So Yeah :/

Looks brill but at 3.34 her saddle looks like its REALLY lifting at the back, also when your trotting.. not saying it doesnt fit :) but maybe it spooks her? :)

Don't know if you still have that horse, but watch David Lee Archer's videos on you tube. Sometimes the sound is bad, but he's an old cowboy and knows how to work with the horse to get an obedient, willing servant. Do not pet your horse if they are being bad. Do not hand feed them etc. They basically need leadership and work. I know cos I have done these things and learnt that it does not work. We want a willing well-behaved horse we can enjoy. Rick Gore on Horseawareness on you tube also good.

Glad she is doing better. Still would be worth your while checking out that guy, especially his video entitled: part three Blitz jumping ,David Lee Archer. He has 50 years experience and rehabilitates horses. He works on more horses in a year than some trainers do in a lifetime. The production of the videos is not too good, but with your courage and riding ability and his knowledge, you would be amazing. Happy riding and God bless
