  • Yeah...I know Kevin. I am not changing my car to FWD. I am not competing with a full-out race car that does 8.2's. This is a street car, and it stays AWD. It may go auto in the future, but that is about it.

  • LOL, I guess that I am a ricer then in a 9-second car. Oh well. Parts break, its part of racing.

  • What do you have your anti-lag settings to? Fuel enrichment?

  • @jsanchez430 - 10-degrees spark retard, 8% fuel retard, anti-lag off at 7200rpm/on at 4500rpm, alt overboost for 22psi. 2step fuel cut at 7400rpm, ignition cut at 6400rpm. I am running a hybrid boost comp map as well.

  • The car had over 600 track passes in 9 years on the parts that broke.

The parts broke because the rear differential cover broke first, then everything else shit the bed because of it. With a modified rear diff cover, and a solid mounting solution in place for the rear end, the rear drivetrain is quite stout in stock form.

There have been substantial upgrades since these parts broke, including DSS Stage 5 axles, upgraded rear diff, solid mounts, steel diff cover, etc.

  • @twicks69 how much power where you making at the time, and were the diff and axles stock?

  • Bummer about the parts man, but seriously was hilarious to watch. It looked like the car actually took a dump on the track. I can honestly say i've never seen something quite like that before.

  • @buddah463 how in the hell is that anyones best bet? awd to fwd? what a waste of time and money.

  • @casper5690 I drive a 1G Talon TSi AWD with about(I tune it myself and it feels about right) 350 whp on a conservative tune as my DD. Then I have My '02 ZX6R. Don't get your panties in such a bunch ass wipe. Have fun buying front tires.
