I believe she was quoting the girls on the "pro-ana" site, that they considered themselves "iconoclastic" for their belief.

Honestly, this is a case where I would have preferred NOT knowing the story behind the song. What I imagined the song was about was preferable to the destructive horror that is anorexia.

Sounded right to me. She was saying that they are proud (young anorexic girls) that the image they cherish is not the same as their parents or society. Iconoclastic means "image breaking". True, thinness is worshipped by society (if that's what you mean) but they are, or aspire to be, beyond thin and they know it (at least the ones who support each other on those "ana" websites).
